Social Network Design

Take a look at the most popular social networking site: Facebook.  Set on a blank white background, with easy navigation via the top bar and left hand bar, Facebook is incredibly simple.

So are many other top websites, like Google and eBay.  When it comes to social network design, less is more.  Social networking sites are defined by their member profiles and user generated content, and the less your social network design gets in the way of that, the better.

Social network design also needs to be extremely user friendly and highly functional.

Remember, keep it simple when working on a social network design.
